JOB DESCRIPTION – COSMETIC PRACTITIONER
La Belle Forme is recruiting. We are seeking an advanced beauty therapist, cosmetic nurse, doctor or dentist for our staff of cosmetic practitioners.
ABOUT LA BELLE FORME
La Belle Forme is a cosmetic surgery clinic owned and run by a consultant plastic surgeon. La Belle Forme was set up, and is run by Mr Taimur Shoaib, a consultant plastic surgeon, in mid 2009 for Mr Shoaib’s expanding private practice in cosmetic surgery. La Belle Forme continues to grow well despite economic adversity and our main services are in cosmetic surgery, injectables, cosmetic dentistry, laser treatments, and beauty therapy. We also run courses and training events for medical, dental and nursing personnel.
Our practitioners include two plastic surgeons, four cosmetic nurses, two beauty therapists, one dentist and one dermatologist. Not all staff are employed at La Belle Forme and not all are full-time, and some staff work as self-employed contractors.
La Belle Forme now needs to expand its employed personnel, and we are looking to employ a cosmetic practitioner. You will be a nurse, doctor or dentists with an interest, experience, knowledge and background in cosmetic clinic treatments. You need to be a lively, happy, enthusiastic front line staff member who is happy to ensure customers receive a high quality service all the way through from an initial enquiry through to their aftercare. You can help deliver excellent customer care in the following areas of clinical practice: cosmetic injectables, LASER and IPL treatments, radio frequency treatment, skin care product sales and advice, skin peels and masks.
Your exact duties will depend on your skills, but ideally you will be a prescribing practitioner with extensive experience knowledge and qualifications in LASER treatments, cosmetic injectables, PRP treatment, radio frequency devices and skin care products. Salary will be dependent on these desired skills and is negotiable depending on previous experience and fulfilment of the desired skills. Our current cosmetic practitioners are nurses and advanced beauty therapists with different roles and some overlap of procedures.
Team working and loyalty are essential parts of our clinic philosophy. We have several practitioners that do not provide the full range of the above treatments and so, we all work together as a team. Since we have a strong team philosophy at La Belle Forme, we expect practitioners that cannot perform a particular treatment to still recommend treatments to patients based on the best interests of the patient. Many of our patients see a number of different practitioners throughout their patient journey for a particular concern that they have. We understand that practitioners may have outside professional interests from La Belle Forme, but we expect absolute loyalty to La Belle Forme while you work with us.
You will be responsible to the general manager with whom you will work very closely to ensure delivery of your required tasks. Ultimately, you will be responsible to the Directors. Depending on your qualifications and experience, it may be in the organisation’s best interests for you to be employed by Taimur Shoaib, Consultant Plastic Surgeon, or by La Belle Forme Ltd.

GENERAL INFORMATION
You will be required to provide all non-surgical cosmetic procedures to clients, patients and customers of the Employer and/or any clients, patients and customers of any other Practitioner as agreed with the Employer. Such non-surgical cosmetic procedures shall include, but are not limited to, the administering and performing the following:
Muscle relaxant injections, Tissue fillers, including dermal fillers, Laser treatments, Dermaroller treatments, Treatments with electrical machinery such as radio frequency devices, Non surgical or minimally invasive reshaping, rejuvenation and revitalising procedures, Other cosmetic injections, Other cosmetic treatments, Assessments and treatments, Prescribing within your area of competence, Any other reasonable nursing, cosmetic or beauty assessment, treatment, assistance and care, Out patient review of patients, customers and clients of the Employer and practitioners of La Belle Forme, Dressing application and changes, Wound care, Removal of sutures, Assisting at surgical or medical procedures or tasks, Performing training or demonstrations at training, informational or educational courses or events organised by the Employer, Assisting practitioners at La Belle Forme with their tasks if they wish the assistance of a nurse, Demonstrating treatments and assessments at events organised by the Employer. You will work within your competence and training will be given to increase this. You will be expected to learn quickly the procedures you cannot currently do. If you are not a prescriber, you will be expected to become one during your employment within two years.
Additionally, as a member of front line staff, you will be required to attend to visitors and deal with enquiries on the phone, email and face to face, supply information regarding the organisation to the general public, clients and customers, assist customers in finding and purchasing required retail merchandise, encourage customers to purchase products if appropriate to their cosmetic requirements, provide administrative support in an office/ clinic environment, perform a wide range of administrative and office support activities for the plastic surgeon and his manager to facilitate the efficient operation of the organisation and the surgical practice.
RATE OF PAY AND HOURS
The initial rate of pay is dependant on qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience and in the past has varied from £12.50-£25.00 per hour. We have clinic room availability on Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays. Three months after starting, benefits are available to employees in the form of clinic treatments at reduced prices. The working hours will be discussed at interview, but you must be flexible and be able to work at different hours on different days, according to the clinic’s needs. You will have a general outline of working hours, which will occasionally be adjusted depending on holiday cover, events and clinic expansion.
