2008 – 2009:
2008 and 2009 have been busy years acquiring for Amanda, who gained extensive training and knowledge by constant education via the most up to date web seminars (monthly) carried out by the medical companies Cutera & Cosmedix.  She also attended the Cosmetic Doctors Conference in October, and was invited to speak at several Clinical Forums to Doctors, Dentists and Nurses to depart her knowledge of Medical Aesthetics Practice to those interested in gaining access to this new environment. She also demonstrated the functioning of the Lasers and their applications at all of these Forums. Cutera also hosted the first European & Middle East Conference for Cutera owners in Barcelona; this was an invaluable experience both for networking & education. And asked her to speak at their second conference in November on Laser Applications.

2008 saw the arrival of another Cutera Xeo laser, this is the most sophisticated multi-platform system on the market to date.  Allowing all Medical Aesthetics treatments to be carried out, including Pearl Fusion, Peal Resurfacing, Pearl Fractional, Titan and Photo Rejeuveanation treatments as well as Hair Removal and Vascular treatments

Amanda attended an intensive week of training in Zurich in April 2008 to acquire her qualification to become the Clinical trainer for the U.K. on all applications of the Cutera Laser systems.

The introduction of new Prescription based products have greatly increased the success rate of skin conditions over the past year, with ‘new technology’ products to be introduced in 2010.

Another new investment has been the invaluable purchase of the Sirius Light Enhancement headpiece to assist in improving vascular treatments via polarizing the skin to allow better visual access to the vascular system, thus decreasing the risk of laser burns & tissue damage. And this is an invaluable piece of equipment for analyzing a patient’s skin and dermal tissue damage.

2007: Amanda obtained a Cutera Coolglide Laser with applications for Vascular, Photo Rejuvenation & Hair Removal. This laser system is being used constantly each day within the clinic.

2006 Cutera Titan Infra-Red Skin Tightening system and attended the Medical Aesthetics Conference in London and attended as many education clinics as possible. Completed Cosmedix Basic & Advanced Skin Analysis & Chemical Peeling courses in Birmingham & London, as well as the American Institute of Medical Aesthetics course on Skin.

2005 – 2001 Prior to stepping into the emerging world of Medical Aesthetics Amanda owned & operated a high end beauty business working in Stirling carrying out Chemical Peels and Aculight IPL Hair Removal.  (Aculight was the first high level IPL system brought into the beauty industry), and other skin treatment systems such as Future-Tec Skin Rejeuvenation & Omnilux light treatment.

2001 – 1997 Amanda gained a Qualification in I.T.E.C. Beauty & Aesthetics in 1997 and opened her first clinic with a CACI non surgical face lift system and was introduced to the first ‘Chemical Peels’. She gained as much knowledge as possible over the coming years.

Amanda is passionate and completely committed to constant education and learning to be able to fulfil all the needs of clients and to gain as much experience and knowledge to be able to depart the correct information to each person, depending on their specific needs.

The Medical and Aesthetic industry’s are becoming very much blended together and will continue to do so over the coming years as the products & lasers become more powerful and successful in carrying out more non-invasive treatments, as well as the potency of the products available, will correct more skin ailments and ageing concerns whilst becoming more stable and predictable. Amanda’s success derives from a desire to learn, understand and utilize all of these components allowing continuous knowledge base in this fast moving and improving field.
