One of our medical team will carry out a 30-minute consultation process to discuss your requirements and the most appropriate face filler treatment for you. We will ask you about your medical history and any allergies that you may have to ensure dermal fillers are suitable for you. We appreciate that information gathering is fundamental in deciding to go ahead with cosmetic treatments and therefore you can opt to have treatment on the day of your consultation, or simply come for a discussion and book your procedure for a later date.
You can also discuss other facial treatment options such as wrinkle reduction or our 8 point face lift procedure.
Your face filler treatment
The dermal filler treatment on average takes 30 minutes. Hyaluronic fillers are natural fillers injected directly into the skin to reduce the signs of ageing and improve your overall skin quality by adding moisture back where it is needed. They also add volume, to either restore volume lost over time, or to provide a subtle enhancement, leaving you feeling confident. Your clinician will prepare your skin by applying a local anaesthetic cream to help reduce any discomfort. The injections may cause a little bit of localized discomfort but should not be painful.
Many clients are often concerned about how they will look immediately after treatment. You will notice some improvement immediately afterwards and will continue to see improvements over the first few weeks as the hyaluronic acid starts to bind moisture and plump out skin folds.
As dermal fillers are a non-surgical procedure, you can continue to go about your day however, we do advise that you avoid strenuous activities such as exercise for up to a week post-treatment. Instantly after treatment, your skin may look slightly red and you may experience some minor bruising. If you have had your lips treated, these tend to be rather sensitive and may swell a little for the first few days. You may want to schedule your appointment for a time when you do not have important commitments. If you are concerned about bruising, then taking oral arnica tablets can help significantly.
On average dermal fillers last between 6 and 9 months and cheek filler can last up to 18 months. They are not permanent and re-injection will need to be done to maintain desired results.
