Who Is Suitable For Treatment?

Before you have botulinum treatment for excessive sweating it is a good idea to see your GP and exclude any medical problem that can cause excessive sweating such as thyroid gland dysfunction. Your GP may choose to do some blood tests to help exclude a medical cause. If no cause is found then your GP may advise you to proceed with the injections. Mr Shoaib and his medical team can advise you further.

How Long Does The Treatment Last?

Treatments for excessive sweating can last up to 6-9 months. Re-treatment will be necessary to maintain results.

Is The Treatment Painful?

Very small needles are used in this procedure so that discomfort is kept to a minimum.

How Long Does The Treatment Take

Treatment can take between 15 and 30 minutes. After treatment, you can carry on with your daily activities. We ask that you do not use deodorants for the first 24 hours after treatment.

When will I see results?

Botulinum treatments are not instant and can take up to two weeks to have an effect. We will review you at two weeks to see if the desired effect has been achieved.
