INTRAcel is a unique and revolutionary technique that combines micro-needling with deep dermal radio frequency. It targets the dermal layer of the skin to create a controlled micro-trauma that stimulates new collagen and elastin production in the skin. Collagen and elastin are the proteins in the skin that keep it tight, taught and strong. Dermal repair with INTRAcel is intense and gives fast results with minimal downtime.

ULTRAcel is an exciting new treatment that works by targeting the same layer that Plastic Surgeons lift and tighten during a face lift. It does this by using deep, focused ultrasound and radiofrequency in synergy and combination, to get the most effective non surgical skin tightening and lift. The technology is revolutionary and is set to become the UK’s most effective ‘lifting’ and ‘tightening’ treatment.

What is INTRAcel?

INTRAcel can also be used to treat active acne outbreaks and to treat acne scars, without the aggressive downtime of traditional lasers. It treats acne through the gentle heating of the sebaceous glands in the skin that produce excess oil. The heat created in the dermis during the treatment also inhibits the bacteria that cause acne leading to a fast resolution of symptoms and long-term acne control.

INTRAcel can be used to tighten the skin, treat active acne, resurface acne scarring, shrink enlarged pores, repair photo-damage to the skin and improve the skin’s texture and tone. In short, it is beneficial for virtually anyone that cares about their skin and wants to improve their skin health.

What is ULTRAcel?

Ultracel treatments are virtually pain free, are a one off and can be done in your lunch break. This simply is the most powerful non surgical facelift treatment available currently in the UK market.

The Focused ultrasound targets the muscle layer that surgeons target called the SMAS. Deep focused ultrasound waves cause this fibrous layer to contract and tighten causing uplift, without any harm to the skin. It is a great option for those not wanting surgery or not yet for surgery

ULTRAcel can be combined with its sister treatment INTRAcel for best results on all layers of the skin. Your physician will devise a unique and bespoke ULTRAcel/INTRAcel treatment package for you that will address your skin concerns and help you get the best out of this revolutionary technology.

Is the procedure painful?

A topical anaesthetic is applied to the skin prior to the INTRAcel treatment. Once the anaesthetic has taken effect most people find the treatment comfortable. The treatment area will feel warm during the treatment and make you feel warm and tight for a few hours after treatment. Most people are happy to go back to work the next day, some even return the same day.

How many treatments do I need?

For best results most people will have 3 treatments of INTRAcel. These should be done every 4-6 weeks. Results are ongoing and last up to 2 years.

What are the contraindications?

Most people can have INTRAcel. It can be used on all skin type or colour. The main contraindications are cardiac pacemakers, cardiac stents and metal implants in the jaw. Pregnancy and breast feeding is a contradiction to treatment. Ask your physician for more information.

Is there anything I can do to maximise the results?

As with any medical aesthetic treatment, following a good skincare regime with medical grade products such as anti-oxidants, sun protectors, vitamin C (L Ascorbic Acid formula) and vitamin A (retinoic acid or strong retinol) will aid collagen production during the treatment process. Stopping smoking will also help and will have long term benefits for the skin. In addition, nutritional supplements may be advised in individuals who might be depleted in certain vitamins and minerals. Vitamin C and Vitamin A supplementation may also help. Ask your clinical for more details.

Is ULTRAcel painful?

The procedure is fast and comfortable. No anaesthetic is required and you can return to work immediately with no one knowing. The average treatment takes 30-40 minutes. Some people comment that they feel the little focused ultrasound shots but it is nothing distressing or painful. Afterwards it can just feel like a muscle ache for a few hours.

When will I see results?

Some people will notice an instant tightening and lifting result from the treatment although best results will be at 6-12 weeks when new collagen is formed and the skin responds to all the modalities that the machine has targeted. Results are long lasting and ongoing but maintenance treatments may be recommended by your clinician.

How many treatments will I need?

ULTRACel is a one off treatment but more treatments can be done as required or recommended by your physician depending on the degree of lifting and tightening needed.

Does ULTRAcel replace the need for surgery?

Ultracel is not surgery and we cannot compare it directly to surgery. It will not give you a ‘facelift’ but more an ‘uplift’. It is ideal for those wishing to avoid surgery, for anyone too young to have surgery or for those wanting to start some deep skin and muscle tightening. It works best for mature skin that needs some lifting and tightening. Compared to surgery it is extremely safe, avoids the risk and complications associated with face lifting surgery (infection, scarring, nerve injuries etc) and delivers excellent results.

Some of our other non-surgical face treatment options include the 8 point facelift, the HydraFacial & ProFacial procedures, and Indiba, which also uses radio frequency in a slightly different way.
