Khalid Hussain

Consultant Dermatologist

Dr Hussain qualified from Pakistan in 1982 and after gaining experience and a specialist qualification in dermatology he undertook further training at The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh UK. In addition to dermatology, his training included general medicine He is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, London. He has been working as a consultant Dermatologist at Lincoln County Hospital since 2004 and had been Skin Cancer Lead for many years


Dr Hussain offers consultations on all skin problems including skin cancers, mole checks and inflammatory skin diseases.

He is actively involved in clinical research and teaching and has several publications to his credit. He is co-author of a book on the treatment of skin diseases. He is a member of the UK Dermatology Clinical Trial Network (UKDCTN). He was chief investigator at Lincoln for the following UKDCTN clinical trials:

Melanoma Lifestyle Study

Immiquimod in the treatment of basal cell carcinoma

Blister trial (Bullous pemphigoid)

  • Mole checking, mole removal
  • Skin cancer including basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma
  • Benign skin lesions, skin tags removal
  • Inflammatory skin diseases – acne, eczema, psoriasis etc
