In addition, Laura had been nominated for the Best Cosmetic Nurse prize. The competition was really tough with all the candidates working at the very top of their chosen fields. For Laura to have won this award against a top-notch field is a fantastic achievement.
Laura qualified in 2002 with a nursing diploma from the Glasgow Caledonian University and has a background working mainly in medical and surgical nursing at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
Laura began working as a cosmetic nurse in 2005 while continuing with her medical nursing work and completed her cosmetic nurse training in 2008.
She has concentrated solely on cosmetic nursing since 2010 and is also a prescribing nurse.
The awards ceremony took place in the Hilton Hotel Grand Ballroom in Glasgow. More than 200 industry experts, nominees and their colleagues.

- Norma Anis -Best Cosmetic Nurse
- Cristina Bernardino – Best Aesthetician (including semipermanent makeup artist) working in a Medical Cosmetic Clinic.
- The La Belle Forme Clinic was nominated in Best Medical Cosmetic Clinic
- Taimur Shoaib who was the winner of the Best Cosmetic Surgeon Award on the night.
