Achieving the figure you want through healthy eating and regular exercise can sometimes be thwarted by stubborn pockets of fat that simply do not respond to diet or exercise.
Vaser lipo surgery is now one of the most popular body contouring procedures that can reshape these problem areas. By targeting specific deposits of fat, the resulting figure is in better proportion to the rest of the body giving the appearance of significant weight loss.
Fat-removal surgery can be performed on any area of the body and typical problem areas include arms; inner and outer thighs; abdomen; hips; knees and chin. Liposuction is often used in conjunction with other cosmetic surgery procedures such as tummy tucks and breast augmentation.
Are you considering Liposuction surgery?
Despite best efforts to achieve an ideal figure through a healthy lifestyle consisting of an appropriate diet and exercise regime, we can often find persistent areas of fat that are unaffected by dieting and exercise.
Performed in our state-of the-art clinics we remove areas of unwanted fat with Vaser Liposuction. This can increase self-confidence to bring these areas into proportion with the rest of our bodies. If you have reached your target weight – or are within certain parameters of your goal weight – and still have problems with specific areas, Liposuction can help resolve these issues.
How Liposuction Works
Fatty tissue consists primarily of adipose (fat) cells but also contains other important tissues. With Vaser® liposuction, sound waves break up fat for removal while leaving nerves, blood vessels and other connective tissue relatively intact. The Vaser® liquifies the fat which is released out of the fat cells. Once liquefied, fat is easily removed with minimal disturbance to important structures to minimise recovery and maximise results. We perform gentle suction of the released fat to recontour your body.
The first step to a new and more confident you comes with making an appointment with La Belle Forme to fully assess your current health, medical history and the overall look you want to achieve. During this consultation, you will have the opportunity to ask as many questions as you wish to discuss whether Vaser Liposuction is the right treatment for you.
Before and After
Below is a typical outcome for a patient that has recently undergone Vaser Liposuction.
If you are unsure what can realistically be expected from Vaser Liposuction we have invested in one of only a few 3D body- imaging systems in the UK. Our Vectra 3D system will take a full body scan which is displayed on a screen and with the assistance of your surgeon you can see what your might look like before committing to the procedure. Shown below is a typical illustration.
Vaser Lipo Recovery
After a Liposuction procedure, it is very common to experience swelling, bruising and soreness in the area, however, this usually subsides 1-2 weeks post-surgery, and can be managed with pain medication. Full results of the surgery are not apparent unti approximately six weeks once the incisions have healed and the swelling decreases.
All cosmetic surgery procedures carry some degree of risk and it is important to understand the potential risks associated with Liposuction procedures. However, when Liposuction is performed by a specialist cosmetic surgeon trained in liposuction and liposculpture procedures, fat removal surgery, it is widely regarded as safe.
Vaser Liposuction at La Belle Forme starts from £2,195 – finance options also available.
Not everybody is able to afford Vaser Liposuction in one single payment, that’s why we have partnered with Omni Capital Retail Finance to help patients get the surgery their desire today with the option to spread repayments between 12 and 48 months. Feel free to ask a staff member about your payment options.
Frequently Asked Questions
First, the area to be reshaped is filled with a tumescent saline solution that helps numb the site and shrink the blood vessels (to minimise blood loss and reduce bruising). This solution wets and fills the area to be treated, making it easier to break up fatty tissue with the Vaser® Lipo System’s ultrasound energy. Then a small probe transmits sound energy to break up (liquefy) fat on contact while preserving other important tissues. Finally, the liquefied fat is removed through a gentle suction process designed to minimise trauma to surrounding tissue structures such as nerves, blood vessels and other connective tissues.
Vaser Liposuction can be used on virtually every area of the body. Our team of nationally recognised plastic surgeons have vast experience in treating following areas: abdomen, thighs, knees, ankles, calves, buttocks, hips, back, arms, male and female breasts, love handles, chin and face.
Any operation or any cut in the skin leads to scarring. Most scarring after a breast reduction settles over the course of several months. Rarely, scarring can be a problem and in these cases, it will be a problem a few months after the operation.
If you do have scar problems, then you might want to apply creams or ointments recommended by your surgeon, or he may want to give you injections into the scar to help reduce some of the itch and pain associated with some of the more abnormal scars. Scars may also darken if exposed to too much sun or tanning booths after an operation, so you should minimise UV exposure to these areas.
